POLICE issue a driving ticket every 12 seconds.
The fines, ranging between £30 and £60 for such offences as speeding and illegal parking, raked in £107million for the Government in 2007.
The Conservatives' police reform spokesman David Ruffley yesterday got the figures for England and Wales under the Freedom of Information Act.
He said: "Motorists have been treated as a cash cow by the Government."
