David Ruffley MP will be laying a wreath in honour of Britain's fallen heroes at the Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade on Sunday 13 November, commencing at the Athenaeum in Bury St Edmunds at 10.10am as well as attending the Festival of Remembrance at the Regal Theatre in Stowmarket on Saturday 12 November at 7.30pm.
David Ruffley said: 'I will be participating in the Remembrance Sunday Service in Bury St Edmunds which will progress from the Athenaeum to the War Memorial on Angel Hill to lay a wreath. The Civic Procession will also include the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, Lord Tollemache taking the salute on the dias on Angel Hill, before moving to St Mary's Church for the Service of Remembrance. I have been pleased to attend this annual event over many years.
I will also be attending Stowmarket's Festival of Remembrance which will be a mixture of entertainment including a performance by the Stowmarket Concert Band to celebrate the memory of our brave servicemen and women.
The constituency of Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket have a strong relationship with the Forces which makes Remembrance Day even more significant as we thank those who have lain down their lives for our country. The day also gives us time to reflect on the actions of the brave men and women who are currently serving our great country across the world.'
