David Ruffley MP will be attending a meeting on 4th November 2011 at the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce to discuss how to progress the local Suffolk economy. The meeting will consist of Suffolk MPs and the Federation of Small Businesses.
David Ruffley MP said: 'Recent statistics sadly show that there were 3,045 business deaths in Suffolk. This number is well below the UK average, but unfortunately the number of business births in Suffolk County was only 2,365, which was also below the UK average.
One of the main issues we will be discussing is Broadband provision and the recent announcement that, after the intervention of myself and other Suffolk MPs, Suffolk County Council was finally awarded a generous grant by the Government to help develop rural super-fast broadband provision.
This facility will make sure our county remains highly competitive and attractive for businesses to start up and grow, providing more jobs for the local economy.'
