David Ruffley MP will be heading back to the classroom on Thursday 31st March to address the audience at the opening ceremony of Thurston Community College's Sports Education Centre.
Mr Ruffley will then be joining Head Teacher Helen Wilson for a working Lunch to discuss the future of Suffolk schools followed by a meeting with 6th Form students at the College.
David Ruffley said, 'I am greatly looking forward to seeing the new Sports Centre at Thurston Community College. With the Olympic Games approaching, it is a positive sign that sports in schools is thriving. I am also delighted to see that the Sports Centre will also double up as a function room for hire to the local community.
Further to this, I am also looking forward to having a meeting and lunch with Miss Wilson to discuss the future of middle schools in Suffolk and the effects this may have on Thurston.
I will then hit the classrooms and hold a Q and A with sixth form students to talk about any issues affecting them in Suffolk and the Government's agenda regarding the future of education.'
