David Ruffley MP has called and will be chairing a meeting with Headteachers and Chairs of Governing bodies to set out the plans to move to a two tier schooling system in Suffolk on Friday, 5 July.
David Ruffley MP said: 'This is an opportunity for Headteachers and Governors to set out their thoughts and concerns to Suffolk County Council about SOR.
I understand that this is a time of upheaval and uncertainty for educational professionals, parents and students. I intend to ensure that this meeting will decisively set out the plans for a smooth transition to raise education standards in Suffolk.
I have been calling over the past 12 months for Graham Newman, Portfolio Holder for Education at Suffolk County Council, to present a comprehensive funding plan for the transition. This meeting is urgently needed and will allow primary, middle and upper schools to have absolute clarity on what the stages of the system change will be.'
