David Ruffley MP to chair an "Audience with Lord Tebbit" at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds

David Ruffley MP has been asked by the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, to chair 'Audience with Lord Tebbit.' The audience will comprise pupils from King Edwards School, St Benedict's School and Culford School.

David said 'It is a massive privilege for me to chair this event. Norman Tebbit is not just a hugely distinguished resident of our town, but he is, for me, one of the giants of modern post-war British political history. Whether people like it or not, the Thatcher administrations of the 1980s restored the British economy and made Britain stand tall in the world once again. Norman Tebbit was a key member of the Cabinet that made this happen.

I am also delighted that we have pupils from three local schools, who weren't even born when Lord Tebbit was first in Government, who will be able to listen to some of the lessons and experiences from his inspiring life story. They don't have to agree with him, but I know that they will be interested in having an audience with a living political legend.'
