David Ruffley MP will be joining Stowmarket Town Pastors to see their work through the night on Friday 4 November in Stowmarket Town Centre.
David Ruffley MP said: 'I am very pleased to have the opportunity walk with the Town Pastors and to see the support that they provide to vulnerable people in Stowmarket at night.
This voluntary organization devotes its evenings to caring, listening and engaging with vulnerable people in the busy pub and club areas, providing services that the police simply do not have the resources to deal with.
They provide anything from advice and prayer to flipflops for sore feet and sweets for low blood sugar levels.
Their presence demonstrates to young people that there are responsible alternatives to a damaging binge-focused culture.'
