David Ruffley MP Launches New Suffolk Radio Slot

David Ruffley MP will begin a regular half hour show on Bury St Edmunds community radio station RWSfm on 2 February to provide information and respond to questions from his constituents.

Mr Ruffley said: 'I am a firm believer in communicating with my constituents in as many ways as possible. We are extremely fortunate to have our own community radio station in Bury St Edmunds and I have been impressed with the standard of broadcasting since RWSfm went on air last August. I want to increase the exchange of information between myself and the people I represent'.

RWSfm's Station Manager, Julie MacLeod, said 'I am delighted to be welcoming David Ruffley, MP, to participate in this initiative. RWSfm is a community radio station for Bury and beyond, and it is very appropriate that our local MP should use it as a means of interacting with the people of his constituency. The programme will go out between 6.30 and 7.00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month and we will invite our listeners to submit questions in advance. Not everybody has the time to attend David's surgeries, and this initiative will give more people the opportunity to present him with their concerns and points of view, and to hear his comments on a range of topics of local and national interest'.

RWSfm is a community radio station which is broadcast through 103.3 fm or the internet ( www.rwsfm.co.uk ).
