David Ruffley MP attended a meeting on 29 September 2011 with Wortham Parish Council to discuss the impact of the Localism Bill and the National Planning Policy Framework on the local area.

The meeting, held at Wortham Village Hall, heard David speak about his opinions on the issues alongside Councillor Diana Kearsley and Simon Cairns, SPS.

The speakers formed a panel to take questions from the audience. This gave Bury St Edmunds constituents an opportunity to express their views and concerns. The feedback received will be taken back to Westminster by David who considered the session an exceptionally important way to connect with residents' concerns.

David Ruffley MP said: 'I wrote an article for the East Anglia Daily Times about my concerns regarding the proposed changes to the National Planning and Policy Framework. It will be good to hear concerns about the Bill from local residents and decision makers.'
