David Ruffley MP opened the new 7A Respite Service Summerhouse in Stowmarket on 30th September 2011.
The Summerhouse is to form part of the respite service to accommodate adults with learning disabilities and associated conditions including autism, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
The service was opened in 1995 and continues to provide short break respite to 35 families, encouraging users to develop new life skills.
The Summerhouse was completed with the aid of The Prince's Trust and Stowmarket Lions.
David Ruffley MP said: 'I am very pleased to be opening this facility. Respite care is extremely important for families who have disabled children.'
