David Ruffley MP in tourism talks in Bury St Edmunds

David Ruffley MP will meet in Bury St Edmunds with Keith Brown, the Chief Executive of East of England Tourism, on 5 March at 2pm.

Mr Ruffley said: 'Tourism is vitally important to our area and I want to make sure that we do everything possible to encourage people to visit Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, and the surrounding areas. The tourism industry has been having a hard time of it in the last couple of years. This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the issues it faces and work on the opportunities that are available.

I want to ensure that the visitor attractions, the B&Bs and hotels, the pubs and restaurants; in the Bury St Edmunds that rely on tourists get all the support that they need from Government- even if that just means cutting red tape and bureaucracy so that they can get on with doing business. West Suffolk is a beautiful area with a rich history and great hospitality. We must make sure that everyone knows it.'
