David Ruffley MP will meet the Artistic Director, Colin Blumenau of the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds to discuss future programming.

David Ruffley MP said of the meeting, 'I regularly attend the Theatre Royal and I thoroughly enjoyed the production of '1984' which I saw before Christmas.

I do, however, have concerns over the less than packed programme of popular productions. When over £5.2 million was recently raised to restore the Theatre, we need this to be a lively packed venue at the heart of our town.

I will be asking Mr Blumenau how he is cutting overhead costs and closing the gap now that the council has cut its funding grant.'
