David Ruffley joined his constituents and other MPs in a rally at Whitehall on 3rd March to support The British Pig Industry.
He says of the issues facing pig farming today, 'Being a Suffolk MP I am well aware of the problems faced by pig farmers. I find it outrageous that large supermarkets are unwilling to recognise that there has been a large rise in production costs and their refusal to pay pig farmers a fair price.
Too many Supermarkets choose to import poorer quality pork from countries with lower welfare standards rather than source premium pork from Suffolk.
I urge all those who agree with me to visit http://www.npa-uk.org.uk/ and get involved.'
