David Ruffley will be meeting members of the local clergy at Christ Church, Moreton Hall, on Friday, 28 February. It is being held there at the invitation of the Reverend Jonathan Ford.

David holds regular meetings with church leaders from all denominations in his constituency.

The main topic for discussion on Friday will be the war with Iraq

David said: 'I consider it very important to keep abreast of the views of church leaders who are able to speak on behalf of a large number of my constituents about religious, moral and social issues. The situation with Iraq is one that greatly troubles us all.

I will be listening carefully to the views expressed to me by the clergy at the meeting and I will be conveying their views to the Foreign Secretary.'
