Recognising Success: Ruffley In Three School Visits

Tuesday, 4 February, 2003

David Ruffley will be visiting three schools in his constituency on Friday, 7 February.

His first visit is to Priory School, Mount Road, Bury St Edmunds at 10.00 a.m. to hold his annual 'Question Time' session with the pupils. A group from this special school visited the House of Commons just before Christmas and David is going for his annual visit to answer the pupils' questions on any issues relating to his work as an MP, the working of the House of Commons and topical news stories. The pupils work hard to prepare questions in readiness for the session and both David and the pupils find it a very positive experience.

In the afternoon (2.00 p.m.), David will visit Walsham le Willows Primary School in Wattisham Road, Walsham, where he will meet Mrs Jenny Johnson, her staff and pupils. The School's recent Ofsted report was described as 'brilliant' and David is keen to see for himself the excellent work that goes on at the School.

David's final school visit of the day at 4.00 p.m. is to Bosmere Primary School in Needham Market where he will present Investor in People Awards to both Bosmere Prinmary School and Needham Market Middle School at a joint presentation ceremony.

David said: 'I am delighted to be visiting three very successful schools in my constituency. All three have worked extremely hard and achieved a great deal. The recognition they have received is richly deserved.'
