Ruffley to attend annual St John's Street Fair and visit local retailers

Wednesday, 14 June, 2006

David Ruffley MP will be attending the sixth annual St John's Street Fair on Saturday 17 June.

The annual Street Fair gives local retailers the opportunity to have stalls outside their shops. A jazz band, fairground rides and other musical acts will provide entertainment.

David will be met by Natalie Rice, the proprietor of the recently opened lifestyle boutique, Candle and Blue, and given a tour of retailers in the area.

David said:

'I am very much looking forward to visiting the annual St John's Street Fair.

'It provides local retailers with a fantastic opportunity to reach a wider audience with the wonderful array of products they have on offer.

'I hope to have the opportunity to meet owners and managers and listen to their views on local issues and the future of retailing in Bury St Edmunds.

'I encourage local residents to come out and attend the St John's Street Fair to show support for the incredible range of independent shops and boutiques that we are so fortunate to have in our town.'
