David Ruffley MP will be a guest at the Graduation Ceremony of University Campus Suffolk, Bury St Edmunds at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Saturday, 26 September.
This year's graduation ceremony is the second in the life of the Bury St Edmunds campus of University Campus Suffolk (UCS). Over 200 students have graduated this year and 130 will be attending Saturday's ceremony. Degree certificates will be presented by Professor Colin Riordan, Vice-Chancellor of Essex University.
This year's students have graduated in a wide range of subjects in both foundation degrees (equivalent to the first two years of a BA/BSc) and BA and BSc honours degrees. Subjects range from English and history to construction, electrical and mechanical engineering, and sports, hospitality and business management.
David said: 'Many congratulations to all of this year's graduates on the successful completion of their degrees. This is a great achievement.
'I particularly welcome the success of UCS Bury St Edmunds which has quickly established itself as an excellent provider of higher education in Suffolk.
'The skills and qualifications that these graduates have acquired are even more important during a recession. I wish them every success in their future careers.'
