Ruffley to be quizzed on front bench role by County Upper students

Tuesday, 3 March, 2009

David Ruffley MP will be visiting Bury St Edmunds County Upper School to meet with sixth form Government and Politics students on Friday 6 March at 2.30pm.

David will be meeting with both the upper and lower sixth groups who are taught by Ms Miranda Perkins.

David said:

'I am delighted to be going to meet with students at County Upper School on Friday.

'I first visited a Government and Politics lesson at County Upper when I was the Parliamentary Candidate for the new Bury St Edmunds seat, ahead of the 1997 General Election. On that occasion, and on each subsequent visit, I have been impressed with the attitude and depth of political understanding displayed by students at the school.

'I understand that the upper sixth group have recently being studying law and order and welfare- two areas in which I have a great deal of front bench experience. I hope to be able to share some of this insight during my visit on Friday.'
