David Ruffley MP will chair a public meeting in Tostock Village Hall at 6.30pm on Friday, 4 July organised by the Tostock Village Association.
The meeting has been called to give villagers the opportunity to air their concerns about controversial planning issues in Tostock.
Local County and District Councillors will be attending. Suffolk County Council and Mid Suffolk District Council have been requested to send an officer as a representative to answer questions from the floor.
David's assistance was sought by members of the Tostock Village Association when Malcolm Jull, Chairman of Tostock Village Association, and Val Kemball came to see David at his constituency advice surgery recently to express their concerns about applications for developments in Flatts Lane and Norton Road, Tostock. They are concerned about the way in which the planning issues have been handled by Mid Suffolk District Council and the related highways issues by Suffolk County Council.
David said: 'As the local Member of Parliament I do not normally get involved in planning matters because planning decisions in Tostock are made by Mid Suffolk District Council.
'But such is the concern of my Tostock constituents about these applications that I offered to chair a meeting as a way forward for the village to resolve the concerns it has with both Mid Suffolk District Council and Suffolk County Council.
'I would encourage all Tostock residents who are concerned about these issues to attend the meeting on Friday and express their views.'
