Ruffley gets even more interactive

Thursday, 15 February, 2007

David Ruffley MP has today announced the launch of a new page on his website DavidRuffleyMP.com.

The 'Ask David' page allows visitors to David's website to submit a question on a local or national issue for David to answer on his internet TV channel Ruffley TV.

The new page is not a substitute for direct personal correspondence with David but instead allows Suffolk people to question David on a topic of their choice.

David will pick three of the most original and interesting questions each month to answer on Ruffley TV and in a podcast that visitors can download and listen to on their iPods.

David said:

'I am always looking for ways to make my online presence more accessible and interactive. Once again, I think this is a real first for a Suffolk MP- visitors, in effect, will be able to interview me on topics of their choice and watch the response on Ruffley TV.

'Once a month I will select three of the most original and interesting questions to answer on Ruffley TV and in a podcast which visitors can download and listen to on the move.

'The joy of this new page is that Suffolk people visiting the website can question me on whatever they like from football to Big Brother or more serious issues like global warming and world poverty.

'This is in no way a substitute for direct correspondence, if a resident has a particular problem they would like my personal assistance with they should continue to email me or write to me at the House of Commons.'
