David Ruffley MP, the Shadow Minister for Police Reform, has today made himself even more accessible to his constituents in Suffolk by joining the online social website www.facebook.com.

Facebook is the now one of the most popular websites in the United Kingdom and the seventh most visited website in the United States with over 30 million members worldwide.

Constituents who join Facebook will be able to add David as 'a friend' and receive updates on David's work, his activities in the constituency and his thoughts on matters of local and national importance.

David said:

'Facebook is now one of the most popular websites in the UK. With over 30 million users worldwide, it is a valuable networking website which allows users to keep in contact with friends and receive real time updates on the views and activities of their online contacts in a single location.

'I will be keeping my Facebook friends updated on my work in the constituency and any events or initiatives that they may wish to attend.

'This is an exciting time for me as a politician as I try to make the work I do even more accessible for people in the constituency. Facebook is particularly popular with young people and I hope that by signing up I will be able hear more of what they want to see happen in our part of Suffolk.

'Anyone wanting to keep in touch with me and join the ever growing Facebook community should log onto www.facebook.com and add me as an online friend.'
