David Ruffley MP has launched a new survey online at www.tellDavidRuffley.com on whether his constituents can receive a digital television signal.
The analogue signal is due to be switched off by 2012 and the switchover process will being in East Anglia in 2011. David is aware that some residents in his constituency are still unable to receive a free-to-air digital signal.
David said:
'The switch off date for the analogue television signal is fast approaching but I am aware that there are still people in our part of Suffolk who are unable to receive a free-to-air digital signal.
'I have launched this survey to establish exactly which pockets of my constituency are unable to receive a digital signal. I will then lobby to ensure that this problem is eradicated and that my constituents viewing continues unhindered through the switchover process.
'The switchover will begin in East Anglia in 2011 and anyone in our part of Suffolk who is concerned they will be unable to receive a digital signal should visit my website www.tellDavidRuffley.com.
'There are alternatives to the free-to-air signal, such as Sky's satellite service, but these can be expensive and beyond the means of many people. I will be fighting for a fair deal for Suffolk to try to ensure a free-to-air signal is available in all parts of the county.'
