David said:

'Whenever I speak to anyone from our area about public services their number one priority is safeguarding the future of our services at the West Suffolk Hospital. There are Government reviews on the future of acute services and this may recommend changes to some hospital services.

'With this in mind I have launched a Freepost address which local people can use to relay their views to me about the West Suffolk Hospital.

'I want to hear from everyone who feels that the West Suffolk Hospital is an integral part of our community- I want to be able to relay the true depth of feeling in our area to Suffolk Primary Care Trust and the East of England Strategic Health Authority.

'This Freepost address will enable local people to contact me without incurring the cost of a postage stamp.

'The West Suffolk Hospital is a vital part of our local community and I will be fighting tooth and nail to ensure that services at the Hospital are not downgraded as a result of any Government review.'
