David Ruffley MP will be taking breakfast with Bury St Edmunds Chamber of Commerce on Friday 28 February at 8am before discussing his new role as Shadow Minister for Welfare Reform and the implications of the work of the Shadow Department for Work and Pensions team for local businesses.

David Ruffley was promoted to Shadow Minister for Welfare Reform by David Cameron in December of 2005.

David said:

'Meeting with members of our local business community is always a rewarding experience and the dialogue we engage in helps to raise issues of both local and national importance.

'I look forward to addressing the Bury St Edmunds Chamber of Commerce and discussing my new role in David Cameron's front bench team and the implications of the exciting work we are doing for the local business community.

'The Chamber of Commerce is a fantastic organisation and their work within the town is vital to the interests of local businesses. I am sure that our discussions this week will be of their usual high calibre and will highlight some of the key issues in the future development of Bury St Edmunds.'
