David Ruffley MP attended coffee mornings in Bury St Edmunds on Friday, 25 September as part of Macmillan Cancer Support's 'World Biggest Coffee Morning'- their biggest annual fundraising event.

David went to the following coffee mornings:

1st Bury Scouts, Tollgate Lane

Wibbling Wools, 24b Angel Hill

Unitarian Meeting House, Churchgate Street

Guildhall Feoffment Trust, College Square

Hanover Housing Association, Hanover Close

Last year in Suffolk alone the event raised a staggering £92,000!

Each year some 3,500 people in Suffolk face a cancer diagnosis. Macmillan provides practical, medical, financial and emotional support to those directly affected, including family and carers.

David said: 'Macmillan Cancer Support does excellent work in Suffolk and I know many of my constituents benefit from their services.

I wholeheartedly support the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' and thank everyone who organised an event to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

With some 3,500 people in Suffolk facing a cancer diagnosis each year the money raised will help Macmillan reach and improve the lives of even more of those people.'
