David Ruffley MP has signed a House of Commons motion calling for the Government to stop treating people with hearing disabilities as second class citizens.
The House of Commons Motion notes that waiting time for hearing tests and hearing aids have lengthened over the past two years and that some patients wait up to two years to receive aids.
David said, 'I have signed this motion to highlight the need for more Government action to commit funding to extend the provision of hearing aid services and to call on the Government to provide digital hearing aids for the backlog of people who need them without further delay.
'This is a matter of considerable concern to many constituents who are not receiving the adequate treatment that they deserve and thus deprives many people, especially the elderly, of the chance for an improved quality of life.'
