Ruffley Speaks to Bury Young Farmers and Backs Their Local Charity

Wednesday, 31 March, 2004

David Ruffley has been invited to address the members of the Bury St Edmunds Young Farmers Club on Thursday, 1 April at the Farmers Club in Bury. The meeting starts at 7.30 p.m.

David said: 'I am delighted to have the opportunity to meet Young Farmers members in Bury St Edmunds. I keep in regular contact with the farming sector in my constituency. It will be good to meet the younger generation who are our future in farming.

The Young Farmers will also on Thursday evening be voting to decide which local charity to support this year. The proceeds of their annual ploughing match in September will be donated to the charity of their choice. (Their shortlist of local charities includes St Nicholas' Hospice and the Gatehouse.) I will be pleased to add my support to their fundraising efforts by donating two tickets for Prime Minister's Question Time at the House of Commons.'
