Ruffley to Visit and Congratulate Stow Lodge Rehabilitation Centre for Their Charter Mark Award

Tuesday, 28 January, 2003

Charter Mark award winner, the Stow Lodge Centre, Chilton Way, Stowmarket, will receive a visit from David Ruffley on Friday, 31 January at 12.45 p.m. David will meet centre manager, Julia Smith, and her staff and clients.

Stow Lodge received the award from the Cabinet Office following rigorous assessment last year. The staff at the centre were praised for the effective way in which they worked and for always putting the care of service users first.

Charter Mark is the quality improvement programme, focusing on customer service and service delivery. Experienced assessors rigorously assess all applications and an independent Judging Panel takes the final decision.

David said: 'When I heard Stow Lodge had won the Charter Mark award I wanted to be able to see for myself the fine work they carry out for the local community and congratulate them in person. It is a tremendous achievement and recognition of all their hard work and dedication to the people they serve in Stowmarket and the surrounding villages.'
