David Ruffley MP will be visiting Needham Market Middle School to discuss the future of education in Suffolk with pupils and staff on Friday 23 March between 10.30am and 12.00.

On Thursday 22 March Suffolk County Council will be voting on whether to abolish middle schools and move Suffolk's schools to a two-tier education system.

David will meet with staff between 10.30 and 11.00 to discuss their concerns before talking with pupil discussion groups about the future of their education.

David said:

'I will be visiting Needham Market Middle School on the day after Suffolk County Council vote on the future of three-tier education.

'I will be listening to the views of staff and students at the school on the future of Suffolk's education system and assuring them that I will be making every possible effort to ensure that their careers and education are in safe hands regardless of whether we have a two or three-tier system.

'This is an unsettling time for pupils and staff alike and I am pleased to be able to visit Needham Market Middle School and listen to their concerns.'
