Ruffley to perform Official Opening of New Moreton Hall Post Office in Community Centre

David Ruffley MP has been personally invited by John Brill, the Moreton Hall Postmaster, to perform the official opening of the new Post Office in the Moreton Hall Community Centre on Wednesday, 1 September at 10.30 a.m.

David said: “I am delighted that the local campaign to secure the future of Moreton Hall Post Office has been successful. The future of the local Post Office was put in doubt following Tesco’s announcement of their takeover of the One Stop Shop in Lawsons Place. The large turnout of local residents at the public meeting I called and chaired in February shows just what a popular community facility the Post Office is. I was determined to save it and set about lobbying all the parties involved – including senior national representatives of Tesco and the Post Office – to secure its future in the Moreton Hall Community Centre. I wish John Brill every success in his new location and urge local residents to make good use of their local Post Office.”
