RUFFLEY ON PANEL AT ELMSWELL PARISH COUNCIL PUBLIC MEETING

David Ruffley will be on the panel at the public meeting called by Elmswell Parish Council on Friday, 11 February at the Blackbourne. The meeting starts at 7.30 p.m. with refreshments being served at the hall from 7.00 p.m.

Joining David Ruffley on the panel will David Barker, Chairman of Elmswell Parish Council, Inspector Les King, recently appointed Commander of the Mid Suffolk Police Sector, Andy Johnson, Integrated Transport Manager, and Sandra Gage of Environment & Transport at Suffolk County Council, and a representative of Mid Suffolk District Council.

The meeting has been called to allow local residents to air their concerns about Elmswell issues. Subjects likely to be raised include: HGV traffic through the village and the width restriction on the A1088, the travellers’ site, various local planning applications and affordable housing.

David said: “Elmswell is the largest village in my constituency and I welcome the opportunity being offered by the Parish Council to allow residents the chance to express their concerns to representatives of the local councils and the police about planning, traffic and law and order issues. I regularly receive letters from my constituents in Elmswell about these matters. This meeting will give an added impetus to my representations to the County and District Councils to address issues of concern to my constituents. I look forward to a lively and well attended meeting.”
