The opening of the new Norton Pre-School building is the culmination of a successful fundraising initiative by the Pre-School when they had to move out of their portacabin in the grounds of Norton Primary School when the school needed the space. The Salvation Army gave the Pre-School a temporary home in their hall while funds were raised for the new building.

David said: “I am delighted to be officially opening the new Norton Pre-School building. I have supported their search for new premises and their fundraising campaign from the outset. I greatly admire the perseverance with which the School has pursued this project – it has been a real community effort and extremely successful. It was particularly generous of Robert Honeywood to offer the School the land on which to build their new premises. It is great that the local children will now have a purpose built permanent building in the village.”
