David Ruffley MP said: 'I am disappointed by the failure of Ipswich Hospital to meet so many of its targets set out in its annual Quality Account 2010/2011 and by the sudden withdrawal of the Hospital's application for Foundation Status.

I will be asking Andrew Reed why the application has been withdrawn, and what impact this will have on the future of patient care at the hospital.

David Ruffley said: 'DanceEast is an excellent project which brings music and movement to a wide audience. Far from the preconception of toddlers in tutus, the dance projects run engage with men, women and children of all ages and backgrounds.

I will meeeting with Assis Carreiro, Artistic Director and Chief Executive, and Lucy Taylor, Head of Development.

David Ruffley MP will be unveiling a memorial on the Mildenhall Road Estate on Friday 24 February at 9.15am.

David Ruffley MP said: ' It is real privilege to unveil this sign which commemorates the contribution that Arthur Smith made to his part of Bury St Edmunds.

He was a man of substance- a Second World War veteran, public servant in the Post Office and, throughout his life, a mainstay of the Mildenhall Road Estate, a place for which he did so much.

David Ruffley MP is concerned about the increasing difficulties of caring for patients with dementia within Suffolk Primary Care Trust (Suffolk PCT).

Revealing new figures, David Ruffley said: 'There are 3,235 people suffering from dementia across the Suffolk PCT which is one of the highest rates in the country (Suffolk comes 17th out of 151 PCTs).

David Ruffley MP was the leading backbencher to speak in today's Police Grant debate this afternoon in the Chamber in the House of Commons.

David Ruffley said: 'The police budget increased by a colossal 20% in real terms from 2000 to 2008, and it made the British Police Force the best resourced it has ever been in the history of this country. It is true from these historically high levels of police funding the Coalition Government has been forced to make funding reductions in order to help pay off the huge debt left by the last Government.
