David Ruffley MP will be attending a meeting on 4th November 2011 at the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce to discuss how to progress the local Suffolk economy. The meeting will consist of Suffolk MPs and the Federation of Small Businesses.

David Ruffley MP said: 'Recent statistics sadly show that there were 3,045 business deaths in Suffolk. This number is well below the UK average, but unfortunately the number of business births in Suffolk County was only 2,365, which was also below the UK average.

David Ruffley MP will be joining Stowmarket Town Pastors to see their work through the night on Friday 4 November in Stowmarket Town Centre.

David Ruffley MP said: 'I am very pleased to have the opportunity walk with the Town Pastors and to see the support that they provide to vulnerable people in Stowmarket at night.

This voluntary organization devotes its evenings to caring, listening and engaging with vulnerable people in the busy pub and club areas, providing services that the police simply do not have the resources to deal with.

David Ruffley MP will be opening the new Rattlesden Pavilion on 5th November 2011 at 6:30PM. The opening ceremony will also incorporate a fireworks show immediately after.

David has been asked to open the Pavilion in recognition of his help in getting funding for the Rattlesden Pavilion project.

David Ruffley MP will be running a mobile surgery in the Hardwick Park Gardens area of Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 15 October between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

David said: 'I will be knocking on residents' doors with St Edmundsbury Borough Councillor Sarah Stamp, in her Southgate Ward, to discuss issues and concerns within this neighbourhood.

David Ruffley MP will be speaking at the Southgate Community Centre Handover Ceremony on Friday 21 October at 10am.

The control of the Community Centre is being passed from St Edmundsbury Borough Council to Southgate Community Partnership which is a local directive made up of members of Southgate Church and the local community.

There will be a signing ceremony, presentation of a cheque from Southgate Church and the unveiling of a plaque by the Mayor of St Edmundsbury, Councillor Christopher Spicer.

David Ruffley MP will be attending a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser at 12noon on Friday 21 October at 12noon, at ADSA, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds.

The campaign includes a sponsored 24 hour ride on an exercise bike - which David will get to try out - and a balloon launch to raise awareness about the illness.
